Many of you are taking the 9.3X62 to Africa hunting dangerous game, in the countries this caliber is legal for dangerous game. In order to facilitate your needs, we are making this “solid” load for maximum penetration at bad angles on big animals. Our testing indicates that this bullet will penetrate a buffalo lengthwise. If I were hunting Cape Buffalo with a 9.3X62, I would use this load to back up my first shot with a “soft”.

For dangerous smaller animals with thin skin, like lions or leopards, this load would be a mistake to use, but for Buffalo, Rhino, or Ele., this is the load you’d want.

This load shows extreme accuracy in both test rifles. Some 24-inch barrels will reach 2400 fps with this load. This is a working load for specific purposes, which brings the 9.3X62 into the full spectrum of African use.

I used two German-made pre-war rifles for load development. Below are the real-world velocities these rifles generate with the 300 gr. SOLID PENETRATOR bullet. This is a good bullet that will give ample penetration for hunting critters like elk, grizzly, or moose at these velocities.
